On Thursday (May 1), at the New York close, spot gold fell by 1.52%, reporting at $3238.88 per ounce, ‘almost’ in a state of decline throughout the day, trading mostly below $3240, and at 20:02 Beijing time, it dropped to $3202.04, approaching the April 14 bottom of $3193.74. COMEX Gold Futures fell by 2.19%, reporting at $3246.90 per ounce, and at 20:02 it also dropped to $3209.40. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed down by 3.58%, reporting at 180.78 points.
