$Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$I can't imagine anything advance micro devices will have to say tomorrow is going to be optimistic last quarter they reduced the guidance in their AI division with the sale of their gpus by 7%. this was before tariffs were even being discussed this is long before any restrictions from China sales took effect. what can Lisa say that's going to be positive? they took an 800 million charge they're now restricted from selling into China, where's the ...

The stock price has already fallen this much, are you still not satisfied? Do you need it to fall to 0 for you to be satisfied?

it's not a matter of trying to find value you have to be able to exceed your projections and AMD has fallen short now three out of four quarters you need to be able to grow your margins this is where AMD has struggled and will continuously struggle. your margins decline it means you're not a price leader and you need to compete on price in order to move inventory which means you're selling a commodity. that means it's not unique it's one of many on the shelves that a customer can pick from. the gaming business and AMD is a disaster and the personal computer line is in decline and that comes from Hewlett-Packard and Dell issued negative guidance earlier this year. trying to continuously catch the falling knife is futile. at some point in time the stock will trade back up again there's going to be momentum investors buying into it and I don't know when that is. the general rule of thumb is when stocks trade up on bad news so the earnings miss their margins miss the guidance is weak but the stocks trade up that is indicative of a bottom. problem that I see with AMD and it's the same as with Nvidia these are pawns on the chessboard that President Trump is using as a tool with negotiating there's 18 sovereign Nations that have the ability to buy Nvidia and AMD right now that being said I have very little doubt that all of these nations are going to be very quick to negotiate with President Trump and agree to the terms that are proposed by his team. and I believe what you're going to see happen with Nvidia and AMD is the tier Pier 1 countries will fall to tier two and some tier two will fall into your three which means they're going to be banned. so you're going to have Nations that can buy whatever they want right now with Nvidia and AMD that will then fall into a bucket where they're limited to what they can buy and some will fall into the red bucket if you will that they will be prohibited from buying anything there's three buckets of green a yellow and a red that's what the head of the treasury is using when they're placing these nations in a tariff percent. so I think because certain nations are going to be declining I don't believe any are going to get moved up it's going to impact revenue and profitability for NVIDIA and AMD so I don't see the need to buy them I don't see the reason to own them I can't get excited about either I think they're dead money

Thank you for your detailed reply, but I have my own views on the gaming Business, the PC Business, and the overall profit margin. Nonetheless, thank you for your perspective!

you're completely wrong I owned a lot of AMD through the leverage ETF last year I was selling puts collecting the premium and I was buying the leverage ETF amdl my cost basis I have to check but it was around $10.80 or so and it went to $16.90 never hit 17 and then rolled so I started selling on the way down I was still optimistic still hoping that there was going to be a by the bounce but it didn't happen and then they had their god-awful roadshow product debut when the stock was $174 and it did nothing but tank that day and that was the beginning of the end for AMD to put a bluntly. so I exited out of all my position that day and the next day and I've been done and I haven't revisited it once I follow it I'm looking for an opportunity but I don't see any I see a continued breakdown in their business model and the fact of the matter is anybody who bought it thinking $150 was the bottom in the common and then 140 and then 120 you've been completely wrong that's the bottom line
