As usual, NIO overhyped and underdelivered.  Of course, in case the L60 is sold for a buck, each, then it might be achievable. Only needs "The Leading ZERO" of NIO to be fired. In JP, where CEOs still have honor, such a "successful" top manager would have used his katana on himself, already.

TWP PaPa OP : While NIO may offer free battery swaps, the electricity juice itself may still require payment. Some early Nio owners with free battery swap entitlement can continue to enjoy free services, but newer owners may need to pay for the electricity used when swapping batteries. Specifically, if the user swaps less than 20 kWh of power, the service fee will be charged based on 20 kWh, while the actual amount of power added will be used to calculate the electricity fee.

010010010 TWP PaPa OP : NiO also needs to pay for that electricity it doesn't get electricity for free, so the profit on electricity  will be pennies, and who will pay for rent, maintenance ,labor and other operation cost for swap station? I guess investors  are paying for that.

TWP PaPa OP 74216494 : Yes, NIO does pay for electricity used at its charging stations, but also recovers costs and makes a profit through charging fees and the sale of battery swap services. NIO's battery swap stations in Shanghai are approaching profitability. While some early NIO owners may have free battery swap access, they still pay for the electricity used if they choose to keep the charger.
