FOMC meeting is today. Powell will be announcing the Fed’s interest rate decision in a few hours’ time.
The market isn’t expecting any cut today. Because the Fed is in no hurry to cut.
What the market would be more interested in is the dot plot and Powell’s speech.
It will be good and assuring if he can say the same thing that he recently mentioned: economy continues to be in a good place. labor market is solid, and inflation has moved closer to their 2% target.
